The theme for the 2016 International Day of UN Peacekeepers is “Honouring our Heroes.” The Day offers a chance to pay tribute to the Blue Helmets’ invaluable contribution to the work of the Organization and to honour more than 3,400 peacekeepers who have lost their lives serving under the UN flag since 1948, including 128 last year.

Our best wishes of a Happy New Year, without any fear, toward a better world!
“In a unanimously adopted resolution, the 15-member body declared the group’s terrorist attacks abroad “a global and unprecedented threat to international peace and security” following the “horrifying terrorist attacks” it perpetrated recently in Sousse (Tunisia), Ankara (Turkey), over Sinai (Egypt) with the downing of a Russian plane, and in Beirut and Paris”.

Calling for urgent attention to prevent the ultimate crime

Abstract

“Violation of the rules of International law by India” [..] “It’s necessary to prevent that the economic and commercial interests take over the respect for human rights” [..].
